Event Description

Full Description:
UQ's beautiful campuses showcase Australia's wildlife and rich biodiversity intermingled with our teaching and research facilities. We're very proud of our grounds and like to keep our environment looking its best with regular groundkeeping as well as special events to target specific areas on campus.

Join us to participate in bush care activities along the river bank and help to clear litter. This event is hosted by the Centre for Marine Science, Society for Conservation Biology UQ - Brisbane Chapter and the UQ Sustainability Office.

It has been shown that collecting plastic waste near coasts, rather than in the oceans, is the most effective way to reduce plastic pollution, so come along and lend a hand.

Bring a water bottle and gloves. Closed shoes and sun protection essential. Cold water and gloves (for those that can’t bring their own) will be provided.
