Accessibility – digital and physical spaces
Accessibility at UQ
We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where students, staff and the broader UQ community can fully participate in university life.
This includes ensuring:
- digital accessibility across our websites and apps
- physical accessibility across our campuses and buildings.
This page outlines accessibility in our digital and physical spaces, the support available to students and staff, and UQ’s plans for disability, equity, diversity and inclusion.
Reporting accessibility issues
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our physical and digital environments.
Digital accessibility (websites, apps and online services)
We strive to create digital experiences that are accessible, inclusive and equitable for all. We are committed to continually improving the user experience for everyone and aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across our websites and digital services.
We design and test our templates and interfaces so they work across different devices and screen sizes and ensure we understand and address diverse needs.
Our web content supports assistive technologies, such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.
Physical accessibility (campuses and buildings)
UQ is committed to creating an accessible environment for all staff, students and visitors. We provide accessible paths, parking, and building facilities across our campuses, research facilities and teaching clinics, and continue to improve access in older spaces.
