Event Description

Full Description:
UQ alumni and community members are invited to attend a special ‘Leaders of Influence’ Series cocktail reception, featuring Ashley Wright, Chief Executive Officer, GHD.

GHD is one of the world’s leading professional services companies operating in the global markets of water, energy and resources, environment, property and buildings, and transportation.

Ashley Wright's career spans 27 years of client service across Australia, South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and the UK. As an engineer, he has worked on some of Australia’s landmark projects, including the Perth to Bunbury Highway and the Mandurah Railway in Western Australia, as well as the Westlink M7 motorway in Sydney.

Ashley will deliver a keynote address on 'preparing for a future in a disruptive world'. The pace of change in the professional world is far greater than what we have ever experienced, due to advancements in technology, globalisation and changing demographics. There is speculation that many jobs of today will not exist in the next five years. Ashley’s presentation will explain some of these changes and their impact, providing insights into new skills needed to succeed in a relatively volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world.

As a member of the UQ community, part of your 'UQ Advantage' is having access to opportunities to network, engage in lively discussion and hear from thought leaders in the industry.

Tickets AUD $30.00 per person.

Drinks and canapes will be provided.
