Full Description:: Professor Howard Markman will discuss what predicts marital success and distress, and will focus on how premarital communication quality provides the roots of future relationship outcomes.

The lecture will feature video footage of real couples talking about relationship issues, demonstrating the interaction patterns that sow the seeds of future distress or happiness.

You will learn relationship skills that will enhance your relationship now and in the future. You will also have the opportunity to ask Professor Markman questions about his research of marital distress and divorce.

Professor Markman is often featured as an expert on marriage and divorce in the media, including Oprah, The Today Show, NY Times, Time Magazine, Washinton Post and USA Today. He is the founder of the internationally known PREP program (Prevention and Relationship Education Program) and 'Love Your Relationship' Couples Retreats and has co-authored over 125 articles and 10 books including, 'We Can Work It Out, 12 Hours to a Great Marriage' and the best seller, 'Fighting For Your Marriage'.
