BRAVING THE FUTURE: Strengthening Australian science to influence global change
Presented by The Honourable Penelope Wensley AC HFEIANZ

Ms Wensley will address some of the great challenges confronting humanity, and Australia's ability to contribute to global efforts to address these.

Ms Wensley is a former Australian diplomat, who has played a significant role in Australia's international relations and foreign policy development. Serving as Australia's Ambassador to the United Nations and Ambassador for the Environment, she has received international recognition for contribution to addressing global issues. She was the Governor of Queensland from 2008 to 2014. Ms Wensley is National Patron, Soil Science Australia and was recently honoured by the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, for her promotion of sustainable development and environmental knowledge.

The evening will be hosted by GCI Board Member and ABC Radio National's science broadcaster, Adjunct Professor Robyn Williams AM.
