Staff Registration
Thank you for your interest in registering to attend the upcoming Graduation Ceremonies. Members of the Academic Staff (including Research Academic Staff) are welcome to attend graduation ceremonies as members of the Academic Procession (ie, members of the stage party) or as members of the audience. Professional Staff may register as audience members.
CEREMONY DATES AND TIMES
The July 2013 graduation period is 15-19 July 2013. Please view the graduation schedule.
REGISTRATION
Online registration for staff to attend graduation will close on Wednesday 10 July 2013.
If your expectation is that academic dress will be arranged for you and you would like to join the Academic Procession and be seated on stage, registrations must be received by close of business Wednesday 10 July 2013. Late on-line registrations cannot be accepted because graduations staff are fully deployed after 10 July on other aspects of ceremony planning and will have insufficient time to arrange your academic dress. However, if you decide after 10 July that you wish to attend a ceremony, you may still do so, providing you are able to organise your own academic dress hire and that you are able to arrive at the ceremony 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time so Graduations staff can arrange your seating on stage (where there is capacity in the Academic Procession).
IF YOU ARE GRADUATING AT A CEREMONY
Academic Staff receiving any award, and Professional Staff receiving a Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy, are invited to join the Academic Procession for their graduation ceremony. Members of staff who will be graduating at a ceremony must read the staff graduation procedures.
ACADEMIC DRESS
Please note that joining the Academic Procession requires the wearing of academic dress. Staff who do not own academic dress can arrange free hire of robes, etc when they register online to attend the ceremony although only University of Queensland pattern academic dress can be supplied. If you require Academic Dress you must indicate this on your online registration form. You will be required to provide your height and head circumference when completing the online registration form so please have this ready.
