Event Description

Full Description:
UQ Diamantina Institute Seminar Series
Guest speakers Chenhao Zhou and Zhen (Jenny) Zeng from UQDI will be presenting their PhD Exit Seminar.

Chenhao will be presenting Single-cell RNA sequencing reveals functionally distinct regulatory T cells in HPV-induced premalignancy.
Jenny will be presenting The role of CD8+ T cells in the regression of squamous cell carcinoma.

Wednesday 21 July, 9:30-10:30am, TRI Auditorium and via Zoom: https://uqz.zoom.us/j/82748003343

Chenhao Zhou’s Bio: Chenhao joined the Frazer Lab – Epithelial Cancer Group in 2017 as a PhD student. His research project focuses on understanding the nature of the adaptive immune response to HPV, by studying a transgenic mouse model expressing HPV16 E7 oncoprotein on the surface of epithelial cells. In particular, he uses single-cell RNA sequencing technology to unravel the heterogeneity of CD4+ T helper and regulatory T cell response. Chenhao completed the Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at Monash University and the University of Melbourne. Then he worked as a full-time staff member within the biopharmaceutical industry before commencing his PhD.

Jenny Zeng’s Bio: Zhen Zeng joined the Wells Lab at The University of Queensland Diamantina Institute in 2017 for PhD program training. Her project focuses on understanding the role of T cells in the control of squamous cell carcinoma/other UV-induced tumours in the skin.
