UQ has emailed each successful Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) applicant to UQ advising them that an offer will be made.

The QTAC website at www.qtac.edu.au is back online for students to accept their offers for places at UQ.

After students had received their offers, if they had an enquiry about the recent QTAC offer round, they could email admissionenquiries@admin.uq.edu.au

The QTAC main admissions round was finalised as scheduled for release on Thursday.

University Acting Academic Registrar Maureen Bowen said that generally demand for UQ had been very strong.

“We have made 8007 offers in this round plus 2034 in December,” she said.

“At this stage UQ has made slightly more offers this year than it had at the same time last year.

“Cut-off scores have improved for about two-thirds of our programs.”

Most notably:

• Due to greater demand, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science have both improved from OP11 to OP10.

• Bachelor of Engineering has improved by 2 OP points from last year, from OP8 to OP6, and will still make a comparable number of offers.

• Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) has improved from OP11 to OP10, indicating greater demand for people likely to be science teachers.

After you have received your offer, if you have an enquiry about the recent QTAC offer round, you can email admissionenquiries@admin.uq.edu.au

However, please note that due to staffing issues associated with the current flood event in South East Queensland, it will be several days at least before requests to this mailing list can be actioned.
