The Director of General Surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Dr Daryl Wall (AM) will give a free public lecture at UQ’s St Lucia campus next week.

During the lecture, sponsored by the University’s School of Biomedical Sciences, Dr Wall will discuss serious challenges faced by human anatomists and their students, historically and today.

The lecture, entitled Anthropoid Anatomist. Antediluvian or Apollonian? will be on Tuesday, November 27 at the IMB Auditorium, Building 80, Chancellors Place, St Lucia at 7pm (opposite the bus stop).

Dr Wall’s illustrated lecture will also discuss the importance of support for the initiatives of anatomists.

Professor David Adams of the School of Biomedical Sciences will chair the event. Light refreshments will be provided after the presentation.

The lecture is being held in association with the combined conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists (ANZACA) and the Australasian Institute of Anatomical Sciences (AIAS). The conference, called Innovation and Application 2007, is being held at UQ.
