UQ MBA graduate and serial entrepreneur Brett Clark will launch his new joint-venture advertising booking website on Monday.

Already generating strong interest from the media industry, Quickads is a ‘last minute’ clearing house for advertising space.

Founders Brett Clark and Stephen Grehan said Quickads was revolutionising the way advertising is bought and sold.

Brett Clark said the site allowed media companies to sell unsold ad space online.

“Using the website means access to a bigger pool of potential advertisers than sales reps can reach by e-mailing or phoning current clients with last minute discounts,” he said.

“And it might win them new clients who might not have tried a new advertising medium if they had to pay full price.”

Clark said the business grew out of an MBA assignment while studying at the UQ Business School.

“I used the idea as the basis for one of my assignments and my research showed that around 30 per cent of advertising space goes unsold.”

“Just like other last minute websites, we are an aggregator for the market, which is compelling to both buyers and sellers. The success of this market model has been proven time and time again.”

The Quickads team of Brett Clark, co-founder of successful online business Epharmacy.com.au and Stephen Grehan, co-founder of Quickbeds.com have combined their expertise and success in starting and running online businesses.

Clark said the two businesses had a combined turnover in excess of $400million.
