Jazz great James Morrison and a six piece band will perform at the UQ Centre on Monday, May 9 at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 6.15pm.

The two-hour evening concert has been organised by UQ’s Chaplaincy Service to promote the Aussie International Friendship Program (AIFP) which is a University supported initiative aimed at
encouraging interaction between International and Australian Students.

James Morrison’s band – featuring John Morrison on Drums and vocalist Emma Pask – will be supported by the Cannon Hill Anglican College Big Band and guests from the UQ Brass Ensemble.

The James Morrison concert coincides as part of the University’s Diversity Week which runs from May 9 to 13 under the theme Difference-in-Common.

Diversity Week was introduced in 2003 to promote diversity within the UQ community and to encourage more improvements to work and study environments.
