University of Queensland psychologists need volunteers for a therapy program designed to examine the benefits of Cognitive Behavioural Treatments (CBT) for problem gamblers.

The program provides participants with information, skills and strategies to help them understand and change dysfunctional gambling behaviours and deal with associated issues.

Participation in the program is free and volunteers can withdraw at any time.

It involves six sessions, once a week for six weeks, delivered by trained clinicians.

Participants will be asked to complete a confidential questionnaire at the beginning of the program, and again at three, six and 12-month intervals after its completion.

Anyone interested in participating should contact Andrea O'Brien on 07 3346 9417
