- This is part of the 2013 INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE SYMPOSIUM IN BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES.
Professor of Circadian Neuroscience at the University of Oxford, Chair of the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology, Director of the Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute. Fellow of the Royal Society.
Professor Foster’s research considers the mechanisms that regulate and generate circadian rhythms and sleep, and what happens when these systems are disrupted in brain disease.
Professor Foster has over 180 publications and co-authored “Rhythms of Life”; “Seasons of Life” and most recently “Sleep: a very short introduction”.
This Public Lecture provides an opportunity for members of the UQ and wider communities to hear from an eminent researcher who has provided novel insights into the role of biological clocks in mental health.
