Event Description
- Full Description:
- Participatory GIS or Public Participation GIS (PGIS or PPGIS) are methods that capture human values, preferences, experiences, and other social variables in a spatially explicit format for land use and environmental planning. In this seminar, Greg will share findings from multiple PGIS studies with a focus on the strengths and limitations of participatory GIS methods for integration with biophysical data to achieve meaningful (rather than hypothetical) conservation outcomes.
