Full Description:: The University of Queensland's Law Graduates Association (UQLGA) invites UQ Law Alumni to attend this event.

cordially invite all alumni and staff of the TC Beirne School of Law to attend a special UQ Law Graduates Association event to mark the opening of the new Brisbane Supreme and District Court building.
This exclusive alumni evening will begin with a welcome address by the Chief Justice of Queensland, The Hon. Paul de Jersey AC, followed by a guided tour of Brisbane's eagerly awaited new legal precinct.
Due to open on 3 August 2012, the $570 million courthouse facility incorporates a host of contemporary design features.
Among them is a striking glass facade and sophisticated system of glazed walls and layered screens enabling the benefit of natural daylight in all of the building's courtrooms, and providing its users with extensive views over the city and adjacent parkland.
With a floor space of 60,000 square metres, the innovative complex will be one of the largest court buildings in Australia.
The event will conclude with an informal drinks reception and an opportunity for you to network with fellow alumni of the Law School.
