- Anne Villamil is Professor of Economics & Finance and Faculty Fellow at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is also The Stanley Jevons Professor of Economics at the University of Manchester.
Her research focuses on financial contracts, with emphasis on firm finance, bankruptcy and enforcement, and the quantitative effects of institutions and policies on financial markets and development.
Professor Villamil will speak about her current research evaluating the effects of policy responses to the financial crisis using computer simulations at the National (USA) Center for Supercomputer Applications.
