Event Description

Full Description:
Professor Heather Horst
Institute of Culture and Society, Western Sydney University

The increase in digital technologies have heightened our attention to the role that infrastructures of various forms play in imagining, enabling and inhibiting social and economic change. These changing digital infrastructures have been accompanied by greater affordability and accessibility to a range of different devices, altering the ways in which we engage with and manage our digital devices and associated materials. In this workshop, Professor Horst will draw upon previous and recent research with digital media and technology to demonstrate the different ways that people manage the proliferation of digital material in their everyday lives. The workshop will include a discussion of individual participants research projects and their own engagement with digital media and technology.
