Full Description:
PEF invites you to the Protein Australia 2023 - Protein Production Workshop. The workshop will expand your knowledge on recombinant protein production using E. coli, yeast, baculovirus/insect cell and mammalian cell platform technologies. PEF research specialists will present topics on UQ’s modern recombinant protein production capabilities.

The protein production workshop is an introduction to Protein Australia - a national scientific conference and networking event highlighting advances in protein technology. Protein Australia 2023 will commence on the afternoon of Sunday 2 July 2023.

Workshop will include:

- Engineering an expression vector
- Selecting the best expression host and learning about designing the optimal expression strategy using different protein expression platform technologies to increase protein production
- Designing a purification strategy to maximise protein recovery
- Using different protein analytics and characterisation techniques to validate target protein attributes

Who should attend?

The workshop is open to all Honours, Masters and Research Higher Degree students and research staff from any organisation.

When: Sunday 2 July 2023

Time: 10 am – 12 pm.

Registration: Venue check in / registration is open from 9:15 am - 9:50 am at the entry to the Boulevard Auditorium. Please allow adequate time for check in, prior to workshop commencement.
