The Liveris Academy and the Centre for Natural Gas are pleased to invite you to this special event featuring Paul Simshauser AM as he speaks about Queensland and Australia’s energy market outlook and the challenges of the renewable energy transition.

Please arrive from 6pm for a 6.15pm commencement time, with networking drinks and canapes to be served after the event from 7.15 - 8pm.

Prof. Paul Simshauser AM is Chief Executive Officer of Powerlink Queensland, the Government owned corporation that owns and operates Queensland’s transmission network. He is also a Professor of Economics at Griffith University’s Centre for Applied Energy Economics & Policy Research and a Research Associate at the Energy Policy Research Group, University of Cambridge.

Paul graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Economics and a PhD (Economics), and has published more than 60 articles on energy economics in peer-reviewed academic journals. Paul’s prior roles include Director-General of the Queensland Department of Energy & Water Supply, Head of Energy Markets at Infigen Energy, and Chief Economist at AGL Energy Ltd.
