Event Description

Full Description:
This Panel Discussion marks the launch of the public report on the Development Prospects of ASEAN Minerals Cooperation (DPAMC). The DPAMC Report is part of the Strengthening ASEAN Cooperation in Minerals study conducted by UQ's Sustainable Minerals Institute and UQ International Development. Join The University of Queensland team, ASEAN Secretariat, and the ASEAN Australia Development Cooperation Program Phase II in this virtual event. We will unpack the analysis for ASEAN in 2021 that informed the strategic directions of the recently adopted ASEAN Minerals Cooperation Action Plan (AMCAP-III) Phase 2: 2021-2025 and helps frame ASEAN’s post-2025 cooperation in minerals. The event will also provide an opportunity to present the preliminary findings and recommendations of the DPAMC follow-on studies in 2022 on ‘Enhancing Geological Prospectivity’ and ‘Building Policy Prospectivity’, both of which are expected to help further the pathways for the effective implementation of AMCAP.
