Event Description

Full Description:
SPARQ-ed (pronounced 'spark ed') is a unique educational facility established as a collaboration between the Department of Education and The University of Queensland which aims to promote excellence and innovation in biological and biomedical education to Queensland school students.

The flagship Research Immersion program provides select senior school students with an opportunity to work alongside world renowned university researchers on a real research project at the Translational Research Institute across 5 days.

Working in a team, students will use the latest technology to examine, test and analyse their results, and then present their findings in a research forum.

Completion of a Research Immersion Program Report can contribute to ATAR Adjustments for students who go on to apply through QTAC for study at The University of Queensland.
