- Students enter the University with a range of digital capabilities. Socio-economic status, exposure to technology, and educational experiences all contribute to their digital capabilities and expectations of how these capabilities will be developed during their studies. While digital literacy is a threshold requirement for employment, academics need to focus on discipline-specific knowledge and conceptual understanding in their curriculum to equip students for their future professions. This workshop will explore ways academics can embed digital literacy into courses in a way that meets both program requirements and develops generic graduate attributes through the use of existing UQ Digital Essential modules.
