Event Description
- Full Description:
- Digital technologies have provided many new ways of engaging in learning. Access to high-quality information and learning resources can now occur anytime, anywhere with networked mobile devices. Despite what the evolving trends in online and blended learning might imply, the principles of quality student learning are well known and have been captured in the Higher Education Learning Framework (HELF). The HELF was developed as part of the ARC Science of Learning Research Centre, is aligned with the UQ Student Strategy and underpins the UQ2U project.
In this workshop, Associate Professor Jason Lodge will discuss the cutting-edge evidence about quality learning and unpack what the HELF means for learning in higher education in the 21st Century. Then, delve into design thinking as a means of implementing the HELF in practice, with a specific emphasis on blended learning and the UQ2U project.
