Full Description:
On behalf of the UQ Energy Initiative we are delighted to introduce Dr Kathy Witt, who is a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland’s Centre for Coal Seam Gas. As a social scientist, she leads the Social Performance team studying the cumulative social and economic effects of unconventional gas development for local communities, community acceptance and non-technical risk. Kathy is a member of the US National Science Foundation’s Energy Impacts Researchers Network as well as co-chair of the Social Impact Assessment chapter of the International Association for Impact Assessment.

Kathy will present on 'What's happening in the gasfields towns?'.
