Title: From patient to bench-top and back again:The role of exercise science in linking mechanisms to therapy in a complex endocrine condition with a high disease burden

In this presentation, Professor Nigel Stepto (Victoria University) will explore the aetiology of PCOS, the latest evidence for the role for physical activity and exercise in management and treatment of PCOS in context of mechanistic and clinical outcomes. It will also explore the knowledge generation to clinical implementation cycle as it currently stands in our NHMRC CRE work and finally, highlight remaining gaps in clinical knowledge around exercise therapy and physical activity more generally in PCOS.
