Title: 'Neuronal Trafficking - Linking mechanisms to functions in live neurons'
Abstract:
Neurons are the most polarized cells in the human body, with highly specialized dendritic and axonal structures to facilitate the information flow through the brain circuits. A dynamic intracellular vesicle trafficking system enables the efficient material transport underlying complicated neural activities. Here I will share my recent studies using advanced microscopy techniques to explore the neuronal trafficking in axons and postsynaptic dendritic spines of live neurons.
