Full Description:: 'Conflict: Contemporary responses to war' reflects on the world altering events of September 11 2001, and explores art made around the theme of war in the years since. The exhibition takes a wide-ranging view, considering conflict on a global scale, and more localised struggles. It addresses, for instance, the historical conflicts that accompanied colonisation, and continue to affect present generations. Memorials and commemoration, and the machinery and technology of war are also examined.

Artists include Tony Albert, Khadim Ali, Richard Bell, Jon Cattapan, Michael Callaghan, eX de Medici, Shaun Gladwell, Fiona Hall, Tom Nicholson, Baden Pailthorpe, Ben Quilty, Caroline Rothwell and Jemima Wyman, among others.
