Event Description
- Full Description:
- In Catching Australian Theatre in the 2000s Richard Fotheringham notes that, for Australian live theatre “the 2010s may be just as radically different as the 2000s were from the 1990s”. Hear three professional theatre practitioners: David Berthold (La Boîte’s Artistic Director and incoming Brisbane Festival Director), Todd MacDonald (Associate Director at Queensland Theatre Company), and freelance dramaturg and critic Kathyrn Kelly, discuss the future of live theatre in Australia, moderated by Dr Stephen Carleton (UQ).
The discussion will be followed by the launch of 'Catching Australian Theatre in the 2000s' (edited by Richard Fotheringham and James Smith) by Associate Professor Frances Bonner (UQ), with a reply by Professor Emeritus Veronica Kelly FAHA, to whom the book is dedicated.
Light refreshments will be served at 10:30am
