Event Description
- Full Description:
- Discover what's happening in Brisbane over the next 5 years that will revolutionise public transport.
Announced by the Queensland Premier in November 2013, UBAT will comprise a five-kilometre, double-decked tunnel for buses and trains beneath the Brisbane River and Brisbane’s Central Business District (CBD) to meet growing public transport demand in South East Queensland. In a world first, UBAT will combine a railway and busway in a single, 15-metre-wide tunnel stretching from Dutton Park, south of the river, to Victoria Park at Spring Hill in the north. New underground stations will be located at Woolloongabba, George Street and Roma Street.
Our presenter is Arthur Stamatoudis, General Manager - Major Planning Projects and Project Director - UBAT at Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.
