This guide will tell you how to find UQ events on the website using View Calendar, the Simple Search and the options available for Advanced Search.

What events are shown on the homepage



On the home page of UQ Events, you will find sections for Featured Events, What's On Today and What's On This Week. Further down the screen, featured events from three categories are shown.

  1. The Featured Events tab list out featured events for current month.
  2. This tab area list the What's On Today events.
  3. The What's On This Week list out all the events for this week.

Using the simple search



The simple search area is located on the side menu on the right.

  1. The From date will allow you to pick the starting date for your search.
  2. The To date will allow you to pick the ending date for your search.
  3. In the Keywords field enter a word relating to your area of interest.
  4. Click the Search Events button to process the search

Using the advanced search



The advanced search area can be found on the top menu.

  3. The To date will allow you to pick the ending date for your search
  4. Select an event category from the drop down menu.
  5. Select an organisational unit from the drop down menu.
  6. Click the Search button to process the search
