With UQ Events you can import/export events to either in iCalendar file, Outlook iCalendar file or Google Calendar file formats. The exported file will have the .ics extension.
iCalendar is an industry-standard calendar specification (.ics) that enables sharing of calendars through the Internet between web sites and personal calendar programs. The format for the iCalendar object is based on the syntax of the [RFC 2425] content type. While the iCalendar object is not a profile of the RFC 2425 Standard content type, it does reuse a number of the elements from the RFC 2425 Specification. For more information on the iCalendar format, see http://www.imc.org/pdi/.
Select Export Calendar from the top menu. Use the calendar pop up buttons (From and To) to select the date ranges. You can also select a category (optional). Select a file format, either iCalendar, Outlook or Google Calendar and click on the 'Export' button. If you want to export the entire calendar, leave the date ranges empty and click on the 'Export Calendar' button. You will be prompted to save the file to your local drive. You may rename the filename but keep the extension (.ics).
Go Google Calendar (http://www.google.com/calendar/)and follow the steps below.
Launch Microsoft Outlook. You can double click on the .ics file to start importing to Outlook. OR you can select the Import and Export Wizard from the menu. On the Wizard dialog box, select the 'Import an iCalendar or vCalendar file' option. Follow the prompt to complete the import.
