St Lucia to UQ Bike Link via The Esplanade
The Brisbane City Council (BCC) is constructing Stage 2 of the St Lucia to UQ Bike Link via The Esplanade (section of road from St Lucia Golf links to The University).
Below is a snapshot of the plans:
A 3m wide shared path segregated from the two way vehicular traffic along The Esplanade.
Lockers:
The UQBUG team is working with UQ Traffic & Parking to accommodate cyclists using the secure lockup rooms with lockers.
A flagship End of Trip Facility (The Bike Box) is being planned for the building adjoining to the Multi Storey car parks on Sir Fred Schonell Drive. Once this is commissioned (eta TBA) current facilities will be upgraded to accommodate lockers.
You can contribute ...to making sure the Locker Budget is not re-allocated elsewhere, by emailing the UQBUG (uqbug@uq.edu.au) with a breif note in support of lockers for UQ Cyclists.
