As the highest award in veterinary science, the Doctor of Veterinary Science is designed to give formal public recognition to eminent scholars who have made a substantial, original and distinguished contribution to the field of veterinary science.

What you can study

No formal study or assessment is undertaken in this program. Applicants must submit published material which constitute an original and important contribution to scientific knowledge and evidence of career research in veterinary science.

To complete the Doctor of Veterinary Science

Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.

The student must submit evidence of scholarship and original research. The material submitted must constitute an original and distinguished contribution to knowledge in veterinary science.
