Why study the Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation?

The Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a pathway to studying the Masters program for students who have not completed a bachelor degree, and who wish to gain entry to the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation based on previous work experience (or a combination of post-secondary study and work experience). The program undertakes an interdisciplinary approach that utilises UQ's leading position in sciences and the commercialisation of those sciences, and allows for students to learn how to manage new ideas to maximise growth impact within a specialist field of study.

Program Rules and Requirements

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, a student must complete a requisite number of courses chosen from the course list and according to the Rules for the program.

Students should be aware of the University of Queensland rules, particularly the General Award Rules, which govern the conduct of UQ programs. Students will find a link to the General Award Rules, and other University rules, on the University Rules page.

To complete the program, a student must complete 8 units from the MEI course list comprising -

  • 4 units from Part A; and
  • 4 units from Part B.
