Why study Wildlife Biology?

As a Wildlife Biology graduate you will play an essential role in the management, conservation and utilisation of wildlife given the increasing demands of an increasing human population with the associated increased competition for land. You will develop research, multi-disciplinary and leadership skills to enable you to integrate and apply knowledge that will allow you to manage wildlife and its associated issues, such as human-wildlife conflict.

What you can study

The program has been designed to develop core research and leadership skills, scientific knowledge of wildlife science but with the flexibility to allow you to select electives from other programs. You will have the opportunity to visit wildlife conservation sites and areas with human-wildlife conflict in southern Queensland including interacting with government and private organisations involved with the management of wildlife. You will also complete a significant research project in a selected area of interest.
