Why study Human Resource Management?

Human resource management (HRM) is concerned with managing people within an organisation to create value for the organisation and positive work experiences for individuals. The range of functions covered include recruitment and selection of employees, performance management, compensation, training and development, career support, team development, communication and conflict, industrial negotiation, and resolution and HR strategy.
