Course description

Provides an introduction to selected concepts and methods of musical analysis. Focusing primarily on repertoire and models from the tonal common-practice and early post-tonal eras, the course is structured so that students who complete the material will be able to adapt their understandings to other repertoires. A range of creative and analytical exercises are used to develop knowledge of the material in an engaging and hands-on way. Please note that this course offering may be cancelled if fewer than 10 students enrol.
