Course description
Not offered in 2013 This course introduces students to the recording and documentation of a spoken language initially unknown to the students, through working with a speaker. It will involve archival research, language analysis and description, archiving of recorded language in a range of formats and a consideration of ethical issues relating to language documentation. This course may be cancelled if there are fewer than 20 enrolments.
