Unfortunately the conservation values of this site are under serious threat from development and poor management. Some of the site, including two small wetlands, was transferred to Brisbane Markets in 2007. Options for the site include turning it into sports fields!
Here is a letter I recently sent to the Lord Mayor. If you are concerned about losing the biodiversity values of this site write to Brisbane City Council and voice your concerns.
