Event Description

Full Description:
Join us for an engaging workshop session hosted by the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences (HaBS) and Faculty of Medicine (FoM) about health profession education research. This collaborative event aims to connect academics, students and clinicians who have an interest in starting, leading or advancing health professions' education research (including the scholarship of teaching and learning specific to professional health education). Through presentations, insightful and interactive discussions, sharing experiences and networking opportunities, we will investigate diverse aspects of this field and explore avenues for collaboration and generate strategies to optimise collective approaches to health professional education research at UQ.

Health professional education research provides exciting opportunities, for new and experienced researchers, to contribute to the advancement of health profession education across classroom and clinical settings.

Session participants will:
- gain insights from new and experienced health professional education researchers
- raise awareness of health professional education as an important area of research at UQ
- form collaborative connections through networking with others who are planning or undertaking health professions' education research and share opportunities for collaboration
- explore and discuss the latest trends and priorities including emerging areas for research in health professional education
- generate strategies to optimise collective ways forward for health professional education research at UQ.

Session presenters:
- Roma Forbes
- Christy Noble
