Event Description

Full Description:
This panel will explore the intent of the revised UQ Graduate Attributes and how they bridge the gap between the language of learning outcomes / professional competencies and aspirational future focused becoming.

UQ uses a range of terminology to describe the learning and development that students gain from their student experiences (curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular). This can create confusion for students around what, where, and how they are developing, and how they can effectively articulate their value. This panel will discuss how we can leverage both the revised UQ Graduate Attributes and storytelling to assist students to realise the value of their experiences, articulate this value, and continue to do so into the future.

Benefits of attending
This panel promises an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the revised UQ Graduate Attributes and how students can bridge the gap between the educational terminology of learning outcomes and future aspirations and becoming. By attending you will consider approaches such as storytelling as a method to empower students to translate their educational journey into a narrative that can enhance their future potential.

Panellists:
- Dr Dino Willox (Chair)
- Associate Professor Stephanie Gilbert
- Madelaine-Marie Judd
