In 2020 we have expanded the capability of the Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems connected to the existing fire protection systems in our buildings.

This technology will enable UQ Security to deliver specific emergency directions to occupants of individual buildings, groups of buildings or to the entire campus from the Security control room where key personnel will be coordinating the response to an incident.

Stage 1 of the project brings 37 buildings online at St Lucia campus and planning is underway for the remainder of the campus to be connected by the end of 2020.
