Full Description:: Highly recommended for new and returning students, this will be your official welcome to UQ, delivered in true Aussie style.

Join thousands of students in O-Week in the Great Court for a traditional Australian BBQ, Welcome Address, Welcome to Country, Indigenous performances, entertainment and more.

This event will be Australian themed so expect traditional culture, singlets and thongs, the scorching Aussie sun, beach vibes, and aussie slang thrown around every two minutes. Gecko's wildlife will also be there to show off some of our cute (and not so cute) Australian animals and will be providing safety tips, knowledge and close up encounters of our fluffy and slithery friends.
