- Join us as Traditional Owners and scientists come together to share their knowledge of marine mammals, at The University of Queensland’s (UQ) Moreton Bay Research Station (MBRS) Marine Mammal Forum. Part of the Yura Yalingbila – Welcome the Whales festival on North Stradbroke Island, the Forum will include sessions on Yalingbila (Whales) and Buangun (Dolphins).
Each session will commence with a presentation by a Traditional Owner who will speak about the cultural significance of each animal, followed by presentations by researchers who are experts in their respective fields. We hope to see you from 10am on Monday July 30th.
