Event Description

Full Description:
Dr Alice Stamatakis, Lead Scientist, Inscopix

Title: 'Catalyzing discovery through next generation miniature microscopes for circuit neuroscience'

The ability to precisely measure and manipulate activity in neural circuits during natural behavior is essential for a sophisticated mechanistic understanding of the brain. Here, Inscopix, Inc. will review:
1. Their cutting-edge miniature microscope technology for monitoring large scale neural circuit dynamics in unrestrained animals
2. The scientific breakthroughs that it has enabled in neural coding, functional cell-type mapping, connectivity mapping, and disease and therapeutics
3. Their latest technological developments including nVokeTM, a miniaturized microscope system for simultaneous imaging and optogenetics
