Sit Less @ Work: A feasibility study to reduce sitting time in a range of office-based workplace settings

In this brief summary of the public health in the UK, Kelly Mackenzie from Sheffield University (UK) will explore the three pillars of public health (health improvement, improving services, and health protection). Focusing on health improvement and chronic disease prevention. She will highlight the importance of upstream initiatives. Kelly will describe her PhD project in the context of disease prevention. Her work aims to explore the feasibility of low-cost interventions, developed using a participatory approach, to reduce workplace sitting time across a range of different type of office-based organisations.
