Event Description

Full Description:
This week, the 2017 HMNS Seminars series will include two talks;

Tannath Scott, Brisbane Broncos Performance Specialist, will present a talk titled 'The 30-15 Intermittent Fitness Test in Rugby League: Implications for testing, monitoring and prescribing training'. This presentation will describe the primary findings from Tannath’s PhD, examining a valid and reliable approach to assess the training outcome as well as prescribe and monitor the training process in rugby league athletes.

Dr Roelof Ettema, from the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (The Netherlands), will present the second talk called “Decline in Older Hospital Patients; Prevention in the Community”. One of the main causes for frailty in older people is a decrease in nutritional status. Dr Ettema will present a complex nursing intervention for maintaining or restoring nutritional status in older community dwelling patients awaiting for a hospital admission or recently discharged.

All welcome and no RSVP needed.
