Event Description

Full Description:
IR is long on debates about meta-theory, theory and methodology, but short on method, understood as the process of producing data. Drawing on his new book with Kevin Dunn, Undertaking Discourse Analysis for Social Research (Ann Arbor, MI: University of Michigan Press, 2016), Iver Neumann will discuss some practical challenges when using discourse analysis.
Iver B. Neumann is professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs and the outgoing Montague Burton Professor in IR, London School of Economics. His latest book is ‘Russia and the Idea of Europe’, 2nd ed. (London: Routledge, 2017).
All welcome and please bring your lunch!
