The 2017 Brisbane Times City2South Running event will see the following road closures in place on 4 June 2017 from 4am to 10:30am:
Roads inbound to UQ from Brisbane CBD, including Coronation Drive into Sir Fred Schonell Drive will be closed. Sir William Macgregor Drive will be closed to vehicular & cycling traffic for the 2017 Brisbane Times City2South Running event on Sunday 4 June 2017 from the roundabout at Sir William Macgregor Drive & Mill Road through to the intersection of Sir William Macgregor Drive & Thynne Road between 4am to 10:30am. Thynne Road, College Road and Chancellor’s Place will remain unaffected by this closure.
Please avoid parking along this route, as no access will be permitted in or out of Sir William Macgregor Drive from 4am to 10:30am. Marshalls and Queensland Police will be controlling traffic during the event.
An alternative entry route has been implemented to allow access to the University on Sunday 4 June 2017 via Chancellor’s Place to the Multi-storey car parks & lower campus, including Campbell Road, Blair Drive, University Drive and Union Road. UQ Security will be managing traffic and pedestrian access at the Slip Road/Mill Road throughfare until roads re-open at 10.30am.
Access to all Colleges on Sir William Macgregor Drive via the southern entrance of the University off Upland Road, including the Chancellor’s Place & Staff House Road precincts will remain unaffected.
