Event Description
- Full Description:
- Professor Valerie Hudson
It is clear that when nations are insecure, women become less secure. But is the converse also the case? If women are less secure, are nations less secure as well? In this wide-ranging look at research concerning the linkage between the security of women and the security of states, Hudson advances the premise that peace between men and women is pivotal to national and international peace.
Valerie M. Hudson is Professor and George H.W. Bush Chair in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, teaching in the masters of international affairs program. Research interests include foreign policy, national security, gender and security, methodology, and cystic fibrosis.
